Nature of the service
RHEUMAI Professional is an artificial-intelligence-based information and workflow platform for qualified professionals in rheumatology. It helps retrieve and synthesize scientific information, organize clinical information, and generate professional documentation.
RHEUMAI does not autonomously establish diagnoses, prescribe treatments, or replace the independent clinical judgement of a licensed healthcare professional.
Clinical limits
- It does not replace the clinical history, physical examination, or comprehensive assessment.
- It does not create a physician-patient relationship.
- It must not be the sole basis for diagnosing, prescribing, modifying treatments, or attending to an emergency.
- It may produce incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or biased information.
- The presence of a citation, PMID, DOI, or link does not prove that the source supports the claim.
- The professional must review primary sources and retains responsibility for their decisions.
Regulatory status
RHEUMAI is not presented as an authorized medical device, an approved diagnostic system, or a product certified by COFEPRIS (Mexico’s Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks), the FDA, the EMA, or any other authority. Its classification depends on the intended purpose, the functions, the public claims, and the context of use.
Users
The platform is intended for healthcare professionals specialized in rheumatology and for adults authorized for professional, academic, or research purposes. It is not intended for patients for self-diagnosis or self-medication, nor for minors.
User obligations
- Use RHEUMAI lawfully, ethically, and in accordance with their professional competence.
- Independently verify relevant information.
- Respect confidentiality, consent, professional secrecy, and the rights of third parties.
- Not upload identifiable patient data to the public version.
- Not attribute to RHEUMAI a regulatory approval or a clinical capability that does not exist.
- Protect accounts, devices, and sessions.
Identifiable clinical data
It is prohibited to enter notes, records, images, or queries that contain names, medical record numbers, CURP (Mexican population registry code), NSS (Mexican social security number), addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, faces, or other elements that identify a patient. Institutional workflows involving identifiable information require separate agreements, controls, and authorizations.
Content generated by artificial intelligence
Responses are generated or synthesized by automated models and retrieval tools. They may contain hallucinations, nonexistent references, errors of interpretation, outdated evidence, or omissions. The user must review the content and the sources before using it.
Research and documentation
RHEUMAI may support searches, writing, code, or analysis. It cannot be listed as an author. Authors retain responsibility for accuracy, originality, attribution, conflicts of interest, and editorial compliance. RHEUMAI does not replace ethics approval, informed consent, study registration, or scientific oversight.
Prohibited uses
- Autonomous clinical decisions or decisions without professional review.
- Emergencies, autonomous triage, or substitution for medical care.
- Entering sensitive personal data without authorization and approved controls.
- Fabrication of data, citations, results, records, or evidence.
- Impersonation of identities or credentials.
- Attacks, circumvention of controls, or unauthorized access.
- Marketing responses as authorized diagnoses or prescriptions.
- Any unlawful use or use that puts a person at risk.
Files and content
The user retains whatever rights they hold over their inputs and files. By submitting them, the user grants the Operator a limited and temporary license to process them for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and protecting the service. The user warrants that they have the right to share the content.
Intellectual property
The software, design, trademarks, and proprietary materials belong to the Operator or its licensors. Third-party content retains its own rights. The ownership or legal protection of AI outputs depends on the applicable legislation, and exclusivity is not guaranteed.
External providers
RHEUMAI may rely on providers of AI models, hosting, storage, authentication, security, and payments. Availability and data processing are also subject to their terms and policies.
Accounts and security
The user is responsible for protecting their account, device, and session. The Operator may limit or suspend access for reasons of security, fraud, breach, legal requirement, or risk to third parties.
Payments
Before any payment, RHEUMAI will display the price, currency, taxes, billing frequency, scope, cancellation conditions, and refund policy. There will be no automatic renewal unless expressly accepted. RHEUMAI will not request private keys.
Availability
The service may change, be suspended, or be interrupted due to maintenance, security, regulatory changes, or dependence on third parties. Uninterrupted operation and a total absence of errors are not guaranteed.
Liability
RHEUMAI does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, timeliness, clinical suitability, or specific results. Nothing in these Terms limits liabilities or rights that the law deems non-waivable.
Privacy
Data processing is governed by the Aviso de privacidad integral (Comprehensive Privacy Notice) in force.
Changes
Changes will be published with their update date. Material changes will be communicated visibly and will require new acceptance where applicable.
